Jason Jamar

Pastor

He received his undergraduate degree in Business Administration from UMHB and his M.Div. from George W. Truett Seminary at Baylor University. Jason previously served as a youth minister, recreation minister, and college and career minister.

Jason married Julien in 2007. They have five children: Jack, Ella, Caleb, Lily, and Madelyn. He loves camping in his skoolie, kayaking, podcasting, coffee roasting, brick oven cooking, and recreating with his family.

Jason joined our congregation in August of 2023.

Rodney Dittmar

Worship Leader

Rodney Dittmar is in his 28th year as a music teacher and his 25th in Seagoville. He holds a Master of Music degree with Academic Distinction from Texas A&M-Commerce and a B.S. in Music Education from East Texas State University.

Although he loves playing guitar and teaching music, his favorite roles are husband and father. He married the love of his life, Renee, in 2000. They have three children: Amanda, Ian, and Rebekah. He is proud to be welcomed into this church family and to work with the Praise Team.

Lisa Phillips

Childrens Ministry Leader

Children are truly a blessing from God! III John 1:4 says, “I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in Truth.”That verse has always been dear to me, and it reflects my desire to help children grow in God’s truth and love.
On November 4, 1982, I accepted Jesus as Lord of my life—a decision that has shaped everything since.

I’ve been married to my wonderful husband, Brandon, for 37 years. Together, God has blessed us with two children: our son Nathan, who is serving in the Navy and married to Megan, and our daughter Victoria, who is married to Bryce Jackson. Nathan and Megan have two beautiful children, Emma (16) and Waylon (11), and Victoria and Bryce are excited to welcome their first child in January! We are so thankful that all of them are serving the Lord—it’s a true testament to God’s faithfulness.
I’m excited to continue sharing God’s love and truth with the children and families here at First Baptist, and I look forward to seeing all that He will do!

Jim Lair

Youth Minister

Having recently retired after nearly 30 years in education as an award-winning teacher and coach—including roles as a Biology Team Lead and Aquatic Science instructor at Allen High School and the Allen STEAM Center—Jim Lair is deeply blessed to step into this new season of full-time ministry.
Rooted in a strong foundation of family, faith, and service, Jim and his wife, Lisa, celebrated their 38th wedding anniversary. Together, they cherish their family: children Brittany, Joshua, Laurie, Larry, and Heavin, along with four grandchildren, Ora Lee, Roger, Linnea, and Emery.

Jim continues his lifelong passion for mentoring the next generation through First Baptist Church Seagoville, where he leads the junior-high and high-school youth ministries and plays the drums for the praise team.

Angela Ingram

Nursery Director

Ms. Ingram has been involved with FBC Seagoville for several years. She provides excellent care to our Little Loves each week.

Sandy Warren

Administrative Assistant

Born in Sweetwater, Texas
Graduated from Skyline High School in 1977
I lived in Dallas (Pleasant Grove), the Kleberg area, Seagoville, Terrell, and Crandall.
I have two sons, two daughters-in-love, and three beautiful grandchildren.
I am truly blessed and highly favored.
